Moldovan president, parliament speaker congratulate judoka Adil Osmanov on success at Olympic Games

Chisinau, 29 July /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu and Parliament Speaker and Igor Grosu have come up with congratulatory messages for judoka Adil Osmanov, who brought the second bronze medal at the Paris Olympic Games.
„Adil Osmanov brings the second bronze medal for Moldova! Congratulations, Adil! You debuted courageously, fought with passion and were fully rewarded. Excellent job done by the team of trainers and all those who backed you,’’ Maia Sandu said.
„Our sportspeople in judo show extraordinary performances at the Paris Olympic Games! The second bronze medal for Moldova, at judo! Excellent, Adil Osmanov! Your work and perseverance brought us pride and happiness! Come on, Moldova!’’ Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu wrote in his Facebook page.
Judoka Adil Osmanov won the bronze medal, defeating Italian Manuel Lombardo. Osmanov, weight category of 73 kg, today qualified for the semifinals of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, after gaining three victories over his adversaries.
Judoka Denis Vieru on 28 July brought the first medal for Moldova’s team at the Olympic Games.
Both sportspeople will receive a state prize worth 2,000,000 lei.
