Chisinau-based college modernized with World Bank's support; Institution has unique digital equipment in Moldova

Chisinau, 8 October /MOLDPRES/ - The young people who study at the Chisinau-based Alexei Mateevici College will benefit from better conditions for education. More rooms of the institutions have been renovated and endowed with new furniture and equipment. This was possible due to a grant worth 808,500 euros, provided by the World Bank, through the Higher Education in Moldova project.
With this money, seven classrooms and laboratories were renovated and endowed with new furniture, teaching materials and last generation digital equipment, some of which are unique in Moldova. At the same time, two mobile STEM labs, 20 Zspace (AR/VR Learning Experiences), more working stations, advanced computers, tablets, laptops, VR spectacles were purchased. A number of 1,170 pupils and 81 teachers of the College will benefit from these rooms.
With the resources allocated, the institution also worked out digitalized participant handbooks for the specialties which train teachers. Also, more trainings of teachers in the field of environmental education, projects’ management, robotics, educational resources’ digitalization were carried out.
In all, seven higher education institutions and six colleges from Moldova benefit from modernizations of the infrastructure and syllabi according the labour market’s requirements, with the support of the Higher Education in Moldova project during 2022-2025. The overall value of the project is of more than 35 million euros.
