Prizes for Taraclia teachers from ARBOM on Teacher's Day

Chisinau, Oct 9 /MOLDPRES/- The Association for the Development of the Bulgarian Community in Moldova honored teachers of Taraclia district on World Teachers' Day!

During a festive event held at Stepan Tanov Cultural Center, ARBOM awarded 1,000 lei each to 10 teachers with the longest working seniority and 3,000 lei each to the teachers from four high schools in the region whose students have got the best results in the BAC exams.

"On behalf of the Association for the Development of the Bulgarian Community in Moldova, I would like to send you my sincere congratulations on World Teachers' Day! You are true heroes who, through your efforts, are shaping the future of our society, of our district, as well as of the country!", ARBOM Director Alexandr Borimecicov said.

"I am very happy that on this day I can thank the Association on behalf of myself and the entire staff for the support it has given to the schools and the teachers. Such attention directed to teachers is something valuable," said Ana Colceva, headmaster of Hristo Botev theoretical high school in Valea Perjei village, Taraclia district.

"We have received support from ARBOM many times. Recently, in September, we got inventory for the classrooms where Bulgarian language, literature and history are studied," added Svetlana Dermenji, manager of Paisii Hilendarski high school in Corten.

The Association for the Development of the Bulgarian Community in Moldova was also worthy of gratitude and appreciation. For the work and involvement in the development of the system, as well as educational institutions in the district, the team was given a diploma by the management of Taraclia district's Education, Culture and Tourism Department.

"I would like to personally thank Alexandr Borimecicov, ARBOM director, and the team he leads for listening to us and understanding that we want the support of the pedagogical collectives. It is a precious help, because you are the team that knows how to offer a helping hand at the right time!", Lilia Sarsaman said.

Since its foundation, the Association for the Development of the Bulgarian Community in Moldova has had and continues to have at the top of the list of priorities the support and development of educational institutions in Taraclia district.

Thus, with the involvement of other partners, ARBOM has provided furniture for schools and kindergartens, inventory in the form of books and teaching materials for studying the Bulgarian language and has provided financial support for certain activities dedicated to students in the region.
