Moldova's experience in urban development examined at Regional Development Policy Congress in Krakow, Poland

Chisinau, Oct 9 /MOLDPRES/- On October 7-8, 2024, a Moldovan delegation took part in Regional and Urban Development Policy Congress held in Krakow, Poland.
The event brought together experts, officials and representatives from various countries to discuss the latest trends and practices in the regional development and urban revitalization. The Moldovan delegation presented the country's experience in the urban revitalization process, highlighting the steps achieved in several projects implemented in cities and communities across the country.
Ion Pînzari, director of the Regional Development Agency (ADR) Center, said "participation in the Congress gives us the opportunity to learn from the experience of other countries and share our progress in urban revitalization".
"The collaboration with international partners and the support provided by the European Union are essential to continue the development of communities in the Republic of Moldova and to make a real impact on the quality of life of citizens. The focus was on the importance of working with international partners and the support of the European Union in carrying out these initiatives. The urban revitalization projects in Moldova have been appreciated for their contribution to increasing the quality of life of citizens and local economic development," he said.
Another topic of interest was the start of negotiations on Moldova's accession to the European Union. During the discussion sessions, the Moldovan delegation emphasized the importance of this historic step and highlighted the lessons learned from Poland's experience in its European integration path. Poland's partnership and support are essential in the process and Moldova is committed to implementing the necessary reforms to achieve this goal.
