Moldovan foreign affairs minister, Croatian counterpart discuss Moldova's European integration

Chisinau, 9 October /MOLDPRES/ - Foreign Affairs Minister of Croatia Gordan Grlić Radman has emphasized the commitment of his country to support Moldova on its European integration way and in the advancement of the reforms necessary. The official today had a meeting with Deputy PM, Foreign Affairs Minister Mihai Popsoi in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
The two officials met to discuss the deepening of the bilateral relations and the support provided in the process of the country’s European integration. The ministers tackled the strategic priorities of Moldova, which might benefit from assistance and expertise on behalf of Croatia.
„Croatia is prepared for providing support and sharing its experience of accession to the European Union. We are sure that, through our cooperation, we can contribute to the development of solid and long-lasting relations between our countries,’’ Gordan Grlić Radman said.
For his part, Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popsoi thanked the Croatian official for the constant support and willingness to cooperate. ‘’Croatia’s assistance will be essential in our reform process. This will allow us advancing quicker and will have a positive impact on the living of our citizens. Croatia expressed its firm commitment to provide Moldova with expertise and assistance in the implementation of the reforms needed for the accession to the European Union. This support is essential for the speeding up of the process of our European integration and improving of the living of our citizens. Moldova continues to advance on its European way with strong partners by its side,’’ Mihai Popsoi said.
In the context, Mihai Popsoi and Gordan Grlić Radman stressed the importance of continuing the dialogue and the close cooperation in the fields of common interest, including the economic one, in order to strengthen the relations between the two countries. At the same time, the Moldovan diplomacy head invited his Croatian counterpart to visit Moldova.
Deputy PM, Foreign Affairs Minister Mihai Popsoi today participates in the Ukraine – South East Europe Summit, held in Dubrovnik, Croatia.
The summit will bring together heads of state and government, in order to discuss the continuous support for Ukraine, to reestablish the sustainable peace on the European continent and back the efforts of accession to the European Union for the candidate countries, including Moldova. Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popsoi will give a speech at the event.
The Ukraine – South East Europe Summit is at its third edition. The first two meetings in this format took place in Greece and Albania.
