Moldovan electoral body announces deadline on asking for authorization of opinion polls, exit-polls

Chisinau, 9 October /MOLDPRES/ - The day of 10 October is the deadline for asking for the authorization of opinion polls on voters’ political likings. At the same time, 13 October is the last day when the authorization of exit-polls and the registration of interview operators can be requested.    

According to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), the latest findings of opinion polls, authorized by CEC on the electoral period, will be published two days before the elections, i.e. on 18 October.  

On the day of the ballot, till 21:00, the publication of the findings of any opinion polls on voters’ political likings is banned. Following 21:00, only the findings of the exit-polls, after-polls and the findings of the opinion polls on voters’ political likings, unveiled to public ahead of the day of election, can be made public.     

On 20 October 2024, presidential elections and a constitutional referendum on Moldova’s accession to EU will take place in the country.
