Moldovan electoral body approves conducting of opinion poll on electoral period of 20 October ballot

Chisinau, 9 October /MOLDPRES/ - The members of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), at a today’s meeting, approved the conducting of an opinion poll on the likings of the voters on the electoral period of the republican constitutional referendum and the elections for the office of Moldova’s president, due on 20 October.

CEC authorized the carrying out of an opinion poll by C.B.S.-RESEARCH Ltd company on 9-16 October 2024 on a representative sample of 1,000 respondents by means of interviewing by phone.

Also today, CEC accredited one international observer on behalf of Kyrgyzstan in Moldova. Seven persons on behalf of the European Network of Election Monitoring Organizations (ENEMO) were confirmed as interpreters.

CEC also confirmed ten journalists on behalf of the public association, NORD-MEDIA Association of Reporters for the coverage and monitoring of the presidential elections and the republican constitutional referendum.
