Chisinau, 9 October /MOLDPRES/ - The cooperation between Chisinau and Bucharest in the fields of strategic interest and the projects on modernization carried out in Moldova with Romania’s support have been discussed by Prime Minister Dorin Recean and Romanian Senate President Nicolae Ciuca at the government’s headquarters, the government’s communication department reported.
The Moldovan PM thanked for the fact that Romania stays a strong supporter of Moldova’s European integration way and the joint projects bring concrete benefits to the citizens on both banks of the Prut river.
„We build together a new bridge across the Prut river; we interconnect in the energy sector, in order to ensure Moldova’s energy security and independence; we provide school buses to pupils and back the restoration of heritage monuments. These initiatives represent just a part of our joint projects, through which we speed up our European integration,’’ Prime Minister Dorin Recean said.
For his part, Nicolae Ciuca gave assurances that Romania would continue firmly backing Moldova’s accession to the European Union and to provide the support needed in the process of negotiations.
