Exhibition dedicated to Chisinau city inaugurated at Moldovan parliament's headquarters

Chisinau, 13 October /MOLDPRES/ - An exhibition dedicated to Chisinau by painter Galina Vieru is hosted by the parliament. The works will be exhibited till early next November and will be able to be admired by all visitors of the legislative institution.
According to the parliament’s communication and public relations department, the exhibition titled, Essences of Chisinau, contains 17 oil paintings, which reproduce on canvas forgotten buildings, well-known historical places and landscapes from the Moldovan capital. Among them, there are the square of the Birth of God Metropolitan Cathedral, the building of the former gymnasium for girls of the Bessarabian Zemstvo, the Red Mill, the Central Synagogue, as well as the Serghei Lunchevici National Philharmonic.
The painter says that the Chisinau city is a good source of inspiration, of feelings and colour.
Galina Vieru is member of the Moldova Fine Artists’ Union and has so far staged over 25 personal exhibitions, both in Moldova and in Romania, Austria and Belgium.
