Moldovan PM on visit to Drochia district

Chisinau, Oct. 18 /MOLDPRES/- Government's priorities on development of localities, the projects implemented for the modernization of villages and cities, as well as the goals due to be achieved to improve the living conditions of citizens were discussed on Thursday at a meeting between Prime Minister Dorin Recean and representatives of local public authorities and deconcentrated services of Drochia district, the government's communication department has reported.
He spoke about the regional development opportunities made available by the Government to transform the country, including the European Village Program. According to the prime minister, the European Village is a priority, its editions will continue every year, and the authorities will make an effort to supplement the program's budget.
"I urge you to continue to change the lives of the people of Drochia, but also to prepare for future projects from the European pre-accession funds. Our task is to urbanize the localities of the Republic of Moldova and mobilize to build Europe at home", said Recean.
Discussions focused on the importance of prioritizing water and sanitation projects, training specialists in the design of aqueducts and constructions, as well as the rehabilitation of roads in the region. Also, the mayors referred to the inventory of water basins, the problem of the liquidation of unauthorized landfills, as well as the lack of pharmacies in the localities.
