Moldovan government approves e-File system today

Chisinau, Oct 23 /MOLDPRES/- All criminal and contravention files will be available on a digital platform, which will facilitate the exchange of information between authorities and automate legal and administrative processes. Government approved a decision on the implementation of e-File system today.

According to the government's communication department, the digital system will help significantly reduce the flow of paper documents. Thus, the process will be digitized, the processing time of the files will be reduced and the manual activities will be replaced by using modern technologies.

By implementing the system, it will be possible to track the execution of decisions, statistics on traffic offenses and accidents and other relevant information for prosecuting authorities, investigating officers and authorities competent to examine cases. At the same time, the system will provide the possibility to access all the information in real time, contributing to increased transparency in the case management process.

"Once the system is implemented end-to-end, it will also reduce corruption, in particular with regard to the impossibility of substitution of evidence in criminal cases. This is very pertinent," Recean said.
