Justice ministry increases staffing limit

Chisinau, Oct 30 /MOLDPRES/- Cabinet of Ministers approved at today's meeting the increase of the Justice Ministry's staff by 13 personnel units.
Minister of Justice Veronica Mihailov-Moraru announced that the measure comes in the context of the increase in the workload with the harmonization of national legislation with the EU acquis. Thus, the additional human resources will be essential to strengthen the capacities of the institution.
According to the decision, the number of employees will be increased in the public policy coordination department, the department for elaboration of normative acts, the international relations department and the government agent department.
The harmonization of Moldovan legislation implies the alignment of the national legal framework with European standards, through legislative adjustments in areas such as human rights, gender equality, children's rights, freedom of expression, security.
The government decision also provides for the establishment of the Agency for Digitization in Justice and Judicial Administration, following the merger of the Courts Administration Agency with the Agency for Legal Information Resources. Through this amendment, the Ministry of Justice aims to have concrete competences at the stage of digitization of the justice system (E-file, Integrated Platform of Legal Professions etc.).
