The PM urges the people not to be afraid and to go to vote on Sunday.
Message by Prime Minister Dorin Recean to Moldova’s citizens:
„Today evening, Moldova faces an extreme attack – people from all over the country receive anonymous death threats through phone calls. Journalists, famous people and ordinary citizens are called and threatened with death.
These acts of intimidation have a single goal – to trigger panic and fear. For the people to be afraid to go to vote.
I assure you that the state’s institutions will ensure the order and will protect the citizens. We will stay united and strong.
Moldova stays straight. We go to vote with confidence!’’ the prime minister’s message reads.
