IGP: Some 230 violations or incidents recorded during runoff election

Chisinau, Nov 4 /MOLDPRES/- About 230 violations or incidents were recorded by police officers during the runoff election.
According to the General Inspectorate of Police /IGP/, 76 cases were recorded concerning the photographing of ballot papers (31 reports); 30 cases of prohibited electoral campaigning (one report); 26 cases of reasonable suspicion of voter corruption (two reports); 24 cases of organized transportation of voters; nine cases of violation of the right to vote; eight cases of damage to ballot papers; seven cases of unauthorized election posters.
A stamp was also damaged in Calarasi, a stamp was lost in Balti, and a stamp was found missing at a polling station in Anenii Noi. More than 40 other cases concerned other violations of the electoral process. There were also cases of false alarms concerning the undermining of polling stations in the country and abroad, as well as of the bridge over the Dniester from Ribnita to Rezina.
Yesterday, the runoff election took place in the Republic of Moldova. During the elections, police officers ensured security around polling stations and maintained public order.
