More education institutions of Moldova to undergo energy renovation with money of International Bank for Reconstruction and Development

Chisinau, 8 November /MOLDPRES/ - The MPs today ratified an agreement on loan signed with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), for the implementation of the project, Sustainable Transition through Energy Efficiency in Moldova. Under the agreement, 46 schools from all over the country till undergo energy renovation.     

Under the document, Moldova will borrow 50 million dollars and will benefit from a grant worth 4.5 million dollars. Most money, about 35 million dollars, will be invested in energy renovation of 46 schools. The works will comprise more measures for the thermal insulation of windows and roods, replacement of windows and doors, renovation of the heating system and the illumination system. Also, heat pumps, thermal solar collectors and photovoltaic panels will be set.  

Another 15 million dollars will be invested in the modernization of the system of centralized supply with thermal energy of the Chisinau municipality.
