Moldovan president condemns attack against Israeli supporters in Amsterdam

Chisinau, 8 November /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu has condemned an attack against Israeli supporters, which took place in Amsterdam, following a football match between the teams Maccabi Tel -Aviv and Ajax.
In a message posted on the X platform, the head of state expressed concern about the violence actions. Maia Sandu stressed that Moldova turned down any form of anti-Semitism and hatred. ‘’The anti-Semitism has no room in our societies and Moldova will stay firm in combating any manifestations of hatred,’’ Sandu said.
Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu today ordered the sending of two airships to Amsterdam, in order to take over the supporters of the Maccabi Tel -Aviv team, following clashes between supporters which burst out during the night, following the football match against Ajax, lost with the score 5:0. The Amsterdam police said that five people had been hospitalized and 62 were arrested, after anti-Semitic hooligans had attacked Israeli supporters, according to Digi24.ro.
