Police provide details on drone detected in central Moldova

Chisinau, 12 November /MOLDPRES/ - The drone today identified outside the built-up area of the Cosernita settlement, central Criuleni district, does not pose danger for the citizens’ safety. The police have given assurances to this effect, after the flying apparatus was examined by experts of the General Police Inspectorate’s (IGP) technical, criminalistics and judicial expertise Centre.

According to the Police, experts ascertained that it was about a flying apparatus for accompanying Shahed drones of Russian origin, with no explosive attached.

„There are no risks or dangers for the safety of the citizens from the region. The investigations on the spot continue,’’ the press release by Police reads.

At the same time, the Police call on the citizens who identify flying apparatus or other suspect devices which fell down not to approach and not touch them, but to immediately call the police at the 112 emergency phone number.
