Moldovans with Romanian citizenship can vote in Romania's presidential elections starting today

Chisinau, Nov 22 /MOLDPRES/- Romanian citizens from the Republic of Moldova can cast ballots in the presidential elections in Romania as of today. In this regard, 59 polling stations have been opened in the country. Voting will last for three days.
Thus, 17 polling stations have been opened in the northern region of Moldova, 34 polling stations - in the central region, including 16 in Chisinau, and eight in the southern region.
The 59 polling stations will have the following program:
- Friday, November 22, 2024, between 12:00 and 21:00 local time;
- Saturday, November 23, 2024, between 7:00 and 21:00;
- Sunday, November 24, 2024, between 7:00 and 21:00.
Romanian Ambassador to Moldova Cristian-Leon Țurcanu said that in order to be able to vote in the presidential elections, citizens need to have one of the following documents: identity card, electronic identity card, provisional identity card, diplomatic passport, electronic diplomatic passport, service passport, electronic service passport, simple passport, simple electronic passport, simple temporary passport, military service card (military school students).
