Chisinau, 27 November /MOLDPRES/ - Energy Minister Victor Parlicov today informed that, during discussions with the Gazprom giant, consensus had been reached concerning the appointment of the new members of the Moldovagaz stock company’s Administrative Board. The candidacies will be subjected to repeated voting procedure.
The members of the Moldovagaz Company’s Administrative Board, put forward by the Energy Ministry, are: Dorin Junghietu for the office of president of the Administrative Board, Vadim Ceban for the office of deputy president, Eduard Calancea and Radu Mandraburca for the positions of members of the Administrative Board.
„There is consensus for these people to be nominated and they are already to undergo the administrative procedures; the meeting of the Council of Observers is to be held, during which they are to be appointed to office and we have a functional Administrative Board,’’ Victor Parlicov.
The energy minister noted that, in the context, the discussions on the draft on the nomination of the Moldovagaz Company’s temporary leadership can be regarded as exhausted. ‘’We have the understanding that the nomination of a functional Administrative Board in usual procedures is managed to be made, without being necessary to resort to additional measures,’’ Victor Parlicov also said.
The mandate of some of the members of the Administrative Board of the Moldovagaz stock company expired in last June. The new candidates put forward by the Energy Ministry were selected by open contest and in last mid-September, the Energy Ministry put forward the candidacy of Dorin Junghietu for the position of president of the Administrative Board of the Moldovagaz stock company; yet, the new leadership has not been approved by the Gazprom representatives for the time being.
In these circumstances, a member of the Moldovagaz Council of Observers, Sergiu Tofilat, said that a solution would be the submission of a draft law on the temporary administration at Moldovagaz.
