Chisinau, 20 November /MOLDPRES/ - Two new rooms meant for education and research today were inaugurated at the headquarters of the Moldovan State University (USM): Constantin Noica lecture room and the Union Hall. They were arranged and endowed through a project implemented with the support of the Romanian government’s Department for Relation with Moldova (DRRM).
The two lecture rooms provide conditions for the research in the philosophy field and facilitate the exchange of ideas between researchers of Romania and Moldova. The Constantin Noica room will be a space dedicated to the philosophical reflection and education in the spirit of the great thinkers of Romania. At the same time, the Union Hall will celebrate the history and the common cultural heritage of the two countries.
„These are more than just lecture rooms. They represent a symbol of the good cooperation between our institutions and of the continuous commitment for the education, culture and national identity,’’ USM Rector Igor Sarov said.
Attending the event, the DRRM’s state secretary, Adrian Dupu, stressed the importance of the joint education projects. He noted that ‘’these investments show the constant support of Romania for Moldova, being an important step in the consolidation of our relations and in the promotion of a friendly and qualitative education.’’
So far, the State University of Moldova has implemented more projects with DRRM’s support.
